Pirates, Balding Mamas, Early Spring and Sh*t Eli shouldn't be eating yet

Sully and his friends at Preschool are able to earn rewards by filling their "Jewel Jar".  This time they chose to have a Pirate Day,  and for Sully at least, it may have been the greatest day ever.  He woke us up early that morning,  "ITS PIRATE DAY!!!"

 Sud Hat

Creation of Sully, I believe he named it "Whale Spike", apparently its a Transformer.

THE NEXT TIME YOU SEE ME, I MAY BE BALD

Eli likes to pull hair.  Specifically my hair.  I may have to chop it all off just to save what's left.

SPRING TIME IN THE TETONS?  (COULD IT BE???)
So, it would seem that we are in the midst of an elusive and rare early thaw up here in the mountains.  We haven't had one of these since the winter of 2007, (I remember this because I was hugely pregnant with Sully and was swimming in the outdoor pool of our condo in the Village in April).  I'm hesitant to get too excited because winter could always come roaring back, but so far this Springtime thing feels pretty solid.

Here to stay or not, we've been taking full advantage, getting out for long walks around town as much as we can.  (and trying to acclimate myself to hauling ourselves up that hill with Eli strapped to me in the Bjorn).

Sully loves going on walks, especially when there are puddles involved, and believe me, there are puddles involved.

SH*T ELI SHOULD NOT BE EATING YET

"Put some food on my tongue!"

Everyone we know with more than one kid warned us that the second progresses much faster because they so desperately want to do what the older ones do.  They weren't foolin' because this kid is a maniac for food that we shouldn't even be thinking of feeding him.  If Sully (or us) are eating it, you better be willing to share or endure Eli's wrath.

Tomatoes

Lettuce

 Ice Cream!

Coffee!! (Ok. we drew the line there)

And even...
Pickles!

But of course, Sully still owns the rights on the best pickle eating video.  from the vaults:

And finally this week, Eli seems to be getting pretty serious about starting to crawl.  He's still got a way to go, but so far he can sort of squirm and pivot around a bit, and he's working on his upper body strength.  Stay tuned...

Baby in Sunglasses cannot be resisted.
