A few very busy days

Team Solis has been up to some major adventuring of late and there are a ton of new photos for you, our loyal fans.

Fall is in full effect here in NYC and we have been soaking up every glorious minute of it. We certainly loved fall in the mountains (that is to say when it didn't go straight from Summer to Winter). But there is much to be said for a proper autumn that lasts for weeks. We taught Sullivan the joys of crunching leaves, a skill that will most certainly take him far in life.

Last Friday was Halloween and it was the first time Sully got to wear a costume. He was a very cute little crocodile. His cousin Daisy was an adorable kitty and the two of them had a nice time collecting candy, all though neither of them are allowed to eat candy and they must have been pretty confused about having their parents pushing them along up to people's front porches to fill their little bags.

Saturday was el dia de los muertos, A holiday I learned an awful lot about in my previous life as La Huera de Jackson. We went to an event at the Museum of the Native American where we saw traditional dancing and a huge Altar. Sully was absolutely transfixed by the dancers and watched the entire show (45 minutes) in quiet awe.

Also on Saturday, we wandered all over the lower tip of Manhattan. We enjoyed the architecture, the changing leaves, the statues, the street performers, the ships and the bustle of it all. After all of that, Mike asked if I had any interest in walking across the Brooklyn Bridge. Of course, I thought he'd never ask, as I have wanted to do this for years but the opportunity had never presented itself. Team Solis has been obsessed with bridges for years and have amassed a sizable collection of bridge photos, but there is only one bridge as gorgeous as the Brooklyn bridge and we are psyched to have some really gorgeous photos of it to show off!

Today, the muppets (I mean us) took Manhattan once more, wandering around Rockefeller Plaza, then up to FAO Schwartz and back down to Grand Central Station. (pics from today coming soon).

We hope you enjoy the pictures.

Team Solis out.
